Climate Change Advocacy Initiatives

The BVCAS believe that Canada must ratify the Kyoto Protocol. The science is clear, human activities, primarily the burning of fossil fuels, are producing green house gases that are changing our climate. Many studies have shown that climate change has the potential to harm our environment and health, and to damage our economy. Signing on to Kyoto now will provide Canada and Alberta the opportunity to strengthen our economy and create meaningful employment through the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.
